1. Introduction

Frenchie Health Hub ("we", "our", or "us") is a trading name of Soul Spark Harmony, a company registered in the Netherlands. We are committed to protecting your personal data and respecting your privacy in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Dutch law.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data when you use frenchiehealthhub.com and the Frenchie Health Hub application (collectively, the "Service").

3. What Data We Collect

3.1 Account Data

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Your name and email address
  • Password (stored in encrypted form — we never see your plain-text password)
  • Optional phone number

3.2 Dog Profile Data

Information you provide about your French Bulldog, including:

  • Name, date of birth, gender, colour, and weight
  • Veterinarian name and contact details
  • Profile photo (optional)
  • Owner notes and routines

3.3 Health & Activity Data

Data you log within the app, including:

  • Health events, symptoms, and severity levels
  • Weight records and trends
  • Reminders for vet appointments, medications, and care tasks
  • AI chat conversation history with Spark, our AI assistant

3.4 Technical Data

Automatically collected when you use the Service:

  • IP address and browser type
  • Device type and operating system
  • Pages visited and features used
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token for push notifications (if enabled)

3.5 Payment Data

We use Stripe to process payments. We do not store your credit card details. Stripe processes and stores payment information securely under their own privacy policy (stripe.com/privacy). We only store your subscription status and Stripe customer ID.

3.6 Analytics (Future)

We may in the future use Google Analytics to understand how users interact with the Service. If implemented, we will update this policy and provide appropriate opt-out mechanisms. No analytics tools are currently active.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract — to provide you with the Service you have signed up for
  • Legitimate interests — to improve the Service, ensure security, and prevent fraud
  • Legal obligation — to comply with applicable Dutch and EU law
  • Consent — for optional features such as push notifications (you may withdraw consent at any time)

5. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

  • Provide and operate the Frenchie Health Hub Service
  • Power the AI health pattern analysis and Spark AI assistant features
  • Send you reminders and health alerts you have set up
  • Process subscription payments via Stripe
  • Send you transactional emails related to your account and subscription
  • Improve and develop the Service
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

6. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (supabase.com), which operates on infrastructure within the European Union. We apply the following security measures:

  • All data is encrypted in transit using TLS/HTTPS
  • Row-Level Security (RLS) policies ensure you can only access your own data
  • Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text
  • Access to production data is strictly limited

While we take all reasonable measures to protect your data, no system is completely secure. In the event of a data breach affecting your rights and freedoms, we will notify you and the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours as required by GDPR.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will permanently delete all associated personal data within 90 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain records. The 90-day period allows you to reactivate your account and recover your data if you change your mind.

8. Your Rights Under GDPR

As a resident of the European Union, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access — you may request a copy of all data we hold about you
  • Right to rectification — you may correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Right to erasure — you may request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Right to restriction — you may request that we limit how we use your data
  • Right to data portability — you may request your data in a machine-readable format
  • Right to object — you may object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Right to withdraw consent — for consent-based processing (e.g. push notifications)

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at woef@frenchiehealthhub.com. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

9. Cookies

We use only essential cookies necessary for the Service to function, including authentication session cookies. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. If this changes in the future, we will update this policy and request your consent where required.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a child under 18 has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately at woef@frenchiehealthhub.com and we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a prominent notice within the app at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
